A few months ago, we welcomed Ryan Voyles to the Lean Tech team as a software developer. Ryan has been working on Thrive platform improvements and custom projects for customers. Ryan is a great fit for the Lean Tech culture and he posses a unique set of IT experiences that allow him to understand and anticipate customer needs. Ryan is passionate about people, family, and being a team player. We are excited about having Ryan on our team and know that Thrive users will also benefit going forward from Ryan’s dedication to continuously improving Thrive. A testament to Ryan’s dedication is pictured below where he is celebrating his 1,000th consecutive day of walking – a streak that he has continued beyond that day. (Ryan said this picture also shows how he felt when he joined Lean Tech!)
I asked Ryan to answer a few questions so that Thrive users could know a little more about him.
1. What do you like about being a software developer?
Being a software developer allows me to marry my desire to help improve the lives of others with my skills in information technology while having the added bonus of providing a creative outlet for my imagination. For me, this ticks all of the boxes of what I would want to do and I would continue to do even if I won the lottery.
2. What do you like about Thrive or Lean Tech.
Lean Tech is a highly people-centered and value-focused Lean company versus the more common profit based model. This carries through into our interactions with our customers, interactions with each other, and in how we deliver value. Thrive is an excellent expression of these ideals through its intuitive ease of use coupled with its powerful and adaptable functionality. Honestly, having spent 15 years working with ERPs and accompanying solutions, I became so excited the first time I saw Thrive I started telling people I knew about it long before I knew that I would be blessed with the opportunity to work for Lean Tech.
3. What do you like to do when you are not working on Thrive software?
When I am not enjoying time with my awesome wife, Tiffany, and our Labrabeagle, Max, I am a big kid and self-professed amateur tinkerer. I enjoy working on everything from our Ford Mustang to custom electronics and also have been known to build custom functioning lightsaber props from time to time. I am also passionate about walking as well as physical and mental health. More than anything, I love people. As a family, we enjoy investing into the lives of people around us and in our community. However, no matter what I am in to, I always hope it brings glory to Jesus (Col 3:23).
Thank you, Ryan, for taking the time to share with us and welcome aboard!
